Mechatronics - the integration of mechanical, controls, electrical and embedded systems - is an emerging area which is now going mainstream. Most industrial machines involve mechatronics and it has been a challenge to integrate these multi-domain technologies. Here are a couple of resources on recent enhancements in this area which now make it possible to virtually simulate all these domains before building a physical prototype.

View this joint webcast by National Instruments and SolidWorks to learn how electromechanical simulation can bring your machine to life before you’ve ordered a single part: visualize machine motion, size motors, evaluate performance, design control logic, optimize throughput, and more. Then deploy the same control software you optimized while simulating the machine to the physical controller when you transition the design from prototyping to high volume deployment.
