A very informative webinar is scheduled for December 17th on the modeling and simulation of supply chain network designs. By modeling, optimizing and simulating network behavior over time, supply chain analysts, logistics managers, and operations professionals can design improved supply chain networks. The webinar will show actual case examples from various industries.

Topics covered in this session include:
• Modeling elements and input variables required for building a base model
• How to think about polices and constraints for Inventory, Transportation, and Sourcing
• The differences between Optimization and Simulation and when to use each approach
• Building agility and robustness into a supply chain network
• Risk analysis and contingency planning

Donald A. Hicks is the founder, President and CEO of LLamasoft, Inc., a leading provider of supply chain strategic planning software applications. He is a frequently invited speaker and author on supply chain strategy and technology issues. Mr. Hicks has presented at regional and annual events for CSCMP and APICS as well as technical users group meetings for optimization and simulation sciences. He was selected in 2006 and 2007 as one of a few “Pros to Know“ by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Mr. Hicks has a BS in Systems Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
