Khurshid, an article I wrote for the June 2007 issue of BioPharm International on the use of simulation in facility design for a biological formulation and filling plant might be of interest. One of the design decisions for the engineers was whether to use robotic carts or conveyors to move the trays of vials and syringes within the sterile operation.
